West coast inspired Wedding at the Trinity River Audubon Center
Annie and Conor hailed from Dallas, but Annie was working on finishing up becoming a doctor for the military and had little time to plan a wedding. To make things harder, she and Conor lived in Washington, and were getting married in Dallas at the Trinity River Audubon Center. They chose the TRAC based on the beautiful outdoor scenery that their guests would be able to enjoy. Floor to ceiling windows allowed in tons of natural light and stunning views for miles. When I first spoke to Annie and Conor, she had one wish: to bring the beauty of the West Coast to Dallas. While I planned and designed this entire wedding, I only met Annie and Conor once. I spoke to them maybe three times over the year because both were so busy - Conor worked a lot, and Annie was finishing her residency. So, I decided to focus on that west coast vibe. Annie and Conor loved to hike and explore the natural forests of Washington. Drawing inspiration from there, Venus & Co Flowers brought in actual mushrooms, lots of ferns and moss to create a lush, overgrown feel. Using wooden bread baskets as centerpieces added even more of a natural feel. We chose black taper candle holders to add a bit more drama to the tablescapes. Allen Tsai Photography came in to capture the reception details and did so beautifully.
